After attending a course in Myofunctional Therapy, Lauren realized this was the missing link that would allow her to take her career to the next level. Utilizing this exercised based therapy, she teaches her patients awareness of proper tongue placement, nasal breathing, and correct chewing and swallowing patterns.
Her dedication to the field is evident in her passion for myofunctional therapy, airway health, and facial development, which all stem from her unwavering belief in addressing the root causes of some speech sound disorders. Teaunah’s experience working with children who presented with various issues like high palates, enlarged tonsils, tongue ties, and mouth breathing has provided her with invaluable insights. Witnessing firsthand how these conditions lead to speech distortions and tongue thrust, she understands the importance of tackling these underlying concerns. Embracing a holistic approach, she believes in correcting oral muscle imbalances and promoting proper oral habits through myofunctional therapy. Her dedication and passion, drive her to advocate for early intervention and the integration of myofunctional therapy. By doing so, she strives to make a lasting impact on the lives of her young patients and their families. In her free time, Teaunah enjoys traveling, yoga, photography and spending time with friends and family.
