Dr. Ryan Robinson

BACKGROUND

When Dr. Robinson graduated from dental school, he couldn’t wait to get back to the community in which he grew up. He was looking forward to helping people achieve their perfect smile. Little did he know that a few years later, his background in dentistry would give him the opportunity to look beyond the teeth to something that could change his patient’s overall health…the AIRWAY!
Dr. Robinson is Delaware’s first and only doctor triple boarded in Craniofacial Pain and Dental Sleep Medicine. After many years of treating the airway in his general dental practice, Dr Robinson decided to open up a specialty practice to address the needs of the community.
This new practice called The Pain and Sleep Therapy Center of Delaware Valley focuses on finding the origin of the problem as opposed to treating with medications and “band-aid” fixes that have become so routine in today’s medical system.

Dr. Robinson has taken over 1800+ hours of continuing education courses in Craniofacial Pain and Sleep Breathing Disorders and has been personally mentored by the world’s leading airway clinicians. Dr. Robinson works with patients of all ages. He states, “It is extremely rewarding to help an adult enhance their quality of life by finding and treating the source of their issues. What’s even more powerful is treating children and having the opportunity to CURE their problems.” He goes on to say “Children are the most fun because with just a little intervention and therapy we can help the child grow and develop properly, saving them a lifetime of issues that otherwise would not have been identified. We focus on identifying these issues at a young age so we don’t ever have to treat them as an adult”.

Outside of the office, Dr. Robinson loves spending time with his wife Renee, his son Bryce, his daughter Reese and their goldendoodle Honey. He also enjoys traveling, playing golf and giving back to the community through volunteering his time and service, especially with Alfred I. du Pont/Nemours Hospital for children in their blood cancer research department.

DR. Carly Jacobs

BACKGROUND

Dr. Carly Jacobs, a native Floridian, graduated from the University of Florida Dental School and completed her residency at NYU. After trading the Sunshine State for the Big Apple, she ultimately landed in Philadelphia to begin her career in private practice dentistry. While her focus began in general dentistry, she quickly discovered a passion in the field of dental sleep medicine. During her general dentistry practice, Dr. Jacobs helped treat a vast array of patients with sleep-related breathing issues including snoring and sleep apnea. She immediately experienced the positive impact that these treatments had including the significant role of proper breathing in relation to the body and mind.
Her passion for helping people and belief that her patients deserve a more holistic approach led her to seek even more comprehensive training, which included mentorship by some of the top chronic pain and sleep providers in the world, as well as hundreds of hours of advanced training and education. Dr. Jacobs finds great pride in providing patients relief of their facial pain, headaches, TMD, airway obstructions, and breathing issues and her goal is to help every patient find the root cause of their issues allowing them to achieve a healthy, balanced life that includes a great night’s sleep.
Partnering with Dr. Robinson, a key thought leader in the pain and sleep field, Dr. Jacobs has given our office the ability to serve more patients geographically. A majority of her time will be dedicated to serving the patients of the Main Line and surrounding greater Philadelphia region in our second location, The Pain and Sleep Therapy Center – Main Line.

Ashlee McIlrath FNP-BC

BACKGROUND

Ashlee’s journey in healthcare began at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Nursing from Kent State University. For over twelve years she provided compassionate care in various specialties including oncology/telemetry, progressive care/emergency room medicine, operating room, and post-surgical units.
Continuing her education, she obtained her Master’s in Nursing from Purdue University and became a Family Nurse Practitioner. While working in urgent care and primary care, she noticed a lack of patient awareness in preventative health and regenerative medicine.
By joining the team at the Pain & Sleep Therapy Center, Ashlee’s goal is to focus on harnessing the body’s natural healing abilities to restore function and vitality. With expertise in regenerative techniques, she aims to address the intersection of sleep disorders and chronic pain. Ashlee’s approach is characterized by compassion, evidence-based practice, and a deep understanding of the connections between mind, body, and sleep quality. She looks forward to collaborating with colleagues and patients to optimize wellness as a whole.

Joanna G. Green, DDS, QOM-D

BACKGROUND

As a mother of two tongue tied babies, Dr. Joanna Green brings her compassion and experience as a mother and provider to her work. Dr. Green understands the importance of early intervention and how proper function, form, growth and development are all interrelated!
Dr. Joanna’s journey started with tongue ties, but has since evolved into an airway centric practice philosophy for children and adults. She understands that a multidisciplinary approach is often needed to properly evaluate, diagnose, and create a comprehensive and successful treatment plan.
